The Hunter Class: Grinding Tips
I have always had an interest in archer classes no matter the game...I have always believed...and still do... that archer classes take a certain mindset to play effectively....wether or not this can be considered true is moot...its what I believe and I can't be swayed.
So I will explain some useful skills and give tips that will assist you early on with normal grinding...
-Arrows-
As a hunter, from the beginning, domo gold for arrows will be the monkey on your back, constantly nagging you with every purchase you make, whether it be new armor or health pots...slight adjustments to what you grind on will make this particular monkey shut up after a while...
-WASD-
The default WASD movement is your enemy, hate it, despise it, flip it off every once in awhile...Hunters require that you be nimble and quick...WASD restricts that...it also restricts continuous firing...While using the mouse pointer to maintain distance from your foe, every step or two you will launch a quick arrow while still keeping distance as you move so long as you don't select a destination too far from where you currently are...best way is click maybe 6~10 steps from your current spot...
-Ankle Strike-
In conjunction with the previous this will help you take down the big fishes more easily...its long cool down makes it faily useless for anything else but the big fishes...Boss mobs, or hard hitting quest mobs especially...this skill is a life saver...putting at least 1 point into this is a must...
-Concentrated Fury-
This is what I personally suggest for farming drops...you save arrows, it hits hard (especially on crits)...but you will sacrifice several things that may...or in my case...may not be all that important when killing mobs...one is attack speed...another is skill accuracy, as in skills will rarely hit...this includes combos as well...at least 1 point in this will be useful to you...
-Farming Drops-
Every so often you will be compelled to farm mobs drops to maintain your hunter...there are a few ways to about doing this but the least costly would be to switch to citizen class and farm mobs that are of the "Don't pick on me" or "Thats just Cruel" designation...
